Never Gives up on me
God does not give up on anyone. Can you imagine someone wanting to apply for the job of ‘chief of apostles’ and in Simon’s CV the interview committee read that this guy denied his lord and master not once but 3 times! Most of us would have said you don’t stand a snowballs chance in hell of becoming the chief of apostles. God’s sense of humour is incredible who does he choose he chooses Simon Peter, this vacillating changeable man, not in anyway a rock. Imagine you are looking for an ancestor for the one who is going to be the Saviour of the world, now who in their right mind would go and choose an adulterer, no one except God. And one of the greatest titles of Jesus is the son of David. You wouldn’t would you have chosen as the leading evangelist and theologian of the infant church, you wouldn’t go for the guy who persecutes the church and wants to destroy it, but God does, for God is incapable of giving up on anyone, for each one is a masterpiece in the making. Invite someone to take a closer look at Christ and his church.
