Autopilot
It is my observation that in our generation we are not governed by conscious awareness of God, our minds tend to run on autopilot. But freedom depends on levels of consciousness. We who are not conscious simply have no freedom. We may believe we do, but we do not make decisions. The decisions are made for us, by automatic emotional reactions that are the result of early experiences. Until we create a gap between our emotions and our behaviour we are actually held prisoner by something that may have happened when we were very young. In our society that makes us unconscious in so many ways, it is really hard work to wake up. How much of life have we missed out on by not being present in the moment? The bible says be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Invite someone to take a closer look at Christ and his church.
