Using M and M’s to deal with fear
The process of dealing with fear and transcending it can be broken down in four steps and the way I remember those four steps is that when we deal with the fear we are getting a prize at the end of it, so one of the ultimate prizes for me would be an M and M. So here is how you remember I see M and M’s. I.C.M.M
I – isolate
c- clarify
m- mitigate
m- motivate
Isolate what am I really afraid of? What is the situation is making me avoid
The second is clarify See what are the real risks here? what is the likelihood of worst case happening? Trying to separate the possible from the probable
The third is control is by Mitigate how do I deal with the fear? move slower, breathe, learn more about the situation, look, where you do want to go in the best case scenario
Motivate yourself with meaning what freedom does this expansion through bravery purchase me? What am I going to get out of this? How am I going to expand through this fear? Invite someone to take a closer look at Christ and his church and become the real version of you God meant you to be.
