Divine Mathematics
How can you give away 40 people to a church plant and before you know it, you have received another 40 people into the sending church. It is just like a gardener who prunes a bush and it comes back stronger. Pastor David Storey of Life City Church Perth calls this ‘divine mathematics’. David has planted several churches and has seen the phenomenon time after time. As Paul says to the church at Ephesus our job is to ‘equip the saints’ to plant some more invitations, but when you do this through a church plant you find that you cannot out give God. When we make a personal invitation divine mathematics also occurs because you receive something from God as well. It might not always be a yes, but there will be something for you.
