The book of ideas
I believe reclaiming the bible as a foundation of society is the way to go in the 21st century by seeing the bible as the book of ideas. One big idea is that of our partnership with God (to love our neighbour as we love ourselves) to tackle the world that is and the world that ought to be. Many of the great inventions have come from the vision of a world that ought to be. So we have the Christian tradition of alleviating poverty, founding hospitals and schools. All these ideas emanate from the book of ideas. Christian hope has given the foundation to believe that we are co-creators with Christ. Invite someone to take a closer look at Christ and his church.
