Antonio Damasio one of the world’s most renowned NeuroScientists says ‘the most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious there is a risk that we lose the sense of reverence, the risk of looking at science as dehumanised and dehumanising, because you are just explaining everything. No matter how much we know what is going on in the brain (through science) the mystery remains. After all we need to be modest and realise that we don’t understand how life is produced. (We need) reverence at the complexity (of what) we are dealing with in the big and the small.’ The bible says we are fearfully and wonderfully made.
