Identity
At the final seminar in Dublin last night in answer to the question what is wrong with the word no, someone said it was because of insecurity. They went on to say ‘when we are not secure in our own identity a rejection feels like a no to who I am.’ At the burning bush the first question that Moses asks God is who am I? In interactions with many people in the bible God gives people a new identity. Jesus told Simon Peter immediately he met him that he would now be called Cephas. From reed to rock. A part of the call of God is to do with our identity and the identity of those we reach through the call. Invite someone to take a closer look at Christ and his church.
