The seed
Our lives are like that of a seed. A seed has to be planted and then it has dirt put onto it. If you put it on the concrete it will wither and die. Logically it doesn’t seem right that you grow something by having to dig a hole and put it down there and cover it with dirt. To grow something dirt is necessary for growth. dirt gives the seed the push through factor. It is not known as dirt it is called soil. Soil has nutrient, nutrients are being put into the seed. All flowers, apple trees, oak trees were seeds under ground one time. The bible confirms this process in terms of sanctification, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it doesn’t bear fruit. Trials tribulations and suffering are the soil we have to push through and by doing so there is character development and hope. Invite someone to take a closer look at Christ and his church.
