Remember
When I ask people to think why they don’t invite their friends, there are twelve common reasons. But most people come up with a reason that is linked to something in their past. Most people have confused remembering with thinking. In the past they have never been able to do something and so they remember rather than think. Thinking is reversing those processes, remembering can lead to hesitation, but we need to think about what God has said ‘Then take care lest you forget the Lord, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.’ It is a familiar theme throughout scripture and the prophets of the LORD have to remind the people of their day, only fear the Lord. Invite someone to take a closer look at Christ and his church.
