Humiliated
On of the reasons that we don’t take steps of faith or risk is that we are terrified about being humiliated. This is totally understandable as the media have stories of failure. There is no mercy in these stories. We should ask The Sun or the Daily Mirror to turn some of our bible stories into headlines. What would they say about the wife of Uriah who committed adultery with King David and then saw her innocent husband die through a instruction from the King? What a surprise therefore to see the wife of Uriah mentioned in the line of Jesus in the first chapter of the gospel of Matthew. God can take our mistakes and transform our humiliation. It is never too late or too awful a situation with God. Invite someone to take a closer look at Christ and his church.
