Harness
As soon as I get rid of my anxiety, as soon as I eliminate my self doubt and insecurities As soon as I handle my childhood baggage, as soon as I don’t feel a fear of rejection then I will be able to…..I have found from speaking to thousands of people in my seminars that you can’t eliminate anxiety self doubt or get rid of childhood baggage at first but you can harness them. Listen to the anxiety of and pain of Abraham ‘You have given me no children’, and the doubt, fear and insecurity of his great grandson Joseph forgotten in prison ‘remember me and show me kindness; mention me’. God enabled them to harness their pain. So for us we should cry out for the ability to pursue what we care about despite the presence of pain and anxiety. If we try to avoid, suppress and hide the pain we will be imprisoned by it. The bible says Be transformed by the renewing of your mind, and take captive thoughts and make them obedient to Christ. If we can educate ourselves to create space between the thinker and the thought, the emotion and the feeler, then we can change our relationship with them by using curiosity to weald greater tolerance for pain and move towards the call of God in our lives.
