Rejected by his own
Jesus was rejected by his own. The bulk of rejection came from unlikely sources – family and those supposed to be close with God the custodians of the law Pharisees and Sadducees. The crowd said Away with this man and bring us Barabbas. Jesus was not even welcomed in his own home town. It is the people that you know, for whom you have done the most, where rejection hurts the most. But God selects what man rejects, the stone which the people rejected has become the cornerstone. Don’t be afraid of rejection and invite someone to take a closer look at Christ and his church.
