The barrier of impatience
In building a culture of invitation, I have found that it doesn’t happen all at once. We need to stay for the long haul, as fellow congregational members face several noes. The problem is that in our generation we can lack the patience to go through the process to become who we are meant to be. But I have found that if we don’t go through process to become invitational in facing a lot of noes then we don’t have the power to keep an invitational culture. If you didn’t earn it you don’t own it. The barriers restricting you are within you, we need develop patience rather than instant gratification.
