Spring follows Winter
Opportunity follows difficulty and difficulty follows opportunity, as spring follows winter. Disappointment and difficulty is like winter it always comes. I heard from some friends in Canada today that they still had winter and it was lasting much longer than normal. Both opportunity and challenge await action. On this Easter Saturday we think of the disappointment and desolation of the disciples. With Jesus in the grave they are in the winter of their difficulty. But with the benefit of the whole story we know what happens next. Moses suffered the winter with 40 years in the wilderness, Joseph was sent to prison for his winter, David was hunted for years by King Saul. When we are facing the winter of our lives, know that it is for a purpose and that spring will come, it just may be delayed somewhat! Invite someone to take a closer look at Christ and his church.
