Scenario Sickness
What if they ask me a difficult question? What if they say no? What if they say yes and then eventually say no? What if? What if What if? What if? What if? I call this scenario sickness, where we imagine various outcomes to inviting someone. Scenario sickness keeps us imprisoned because of fear. It means that we won’t move forward unless we can be assured of a good outcome, not realising that we are afraid. FEAR in scenario sickness stands for Future events already ruined. Face your fear and invite someone to take a closer look at Christ and his church.
