Head and Heart in mission
Dr Nicholas Gibson is Assistant Director of the Psychology and Religion Research Group, Divinity Faculty, Cambridge University. Dr Gibson want to expose the disparity between head and heart knowledge in Christianity. He believes that by getting the heart involved it can have positive consequences and motivations for belief and behaviour. One of Dr Gibson’s psychological cognitive therapy interventions is to integrate head and heart knowledge by asking questions like “what would it really look like if we knew God was everywhere?” Invite someone to take a closer look at Christ who will never leave us and forsake us, and his church.
