If you were in a car with someone, who learns the route better the driver or the passenger? In the car the driver learns because he/she has to use it, the passenger is just passively sitting there. Social Psychologist Professor Matthew Lieberman says research shows that “if you learn in order to teach someone else you actually learn the material better.” Let’s get our new Christians out in mission much sooner and get them to be the driver and not the passenger. For us older Christians, faith needs to be continually challenged. If you keep practising what you can already know, your faith seldom deepens. Learn by practising faith and Invite someone to take a closer look at Christ and his church.
