The Call Committee
Over 1100 kilometers driven so far on the three days of the road trip across New Brunswick, PEI and Nova Scotia and one of today’s discussions has been surrounding how Baptists call a Pastor. There is great care and detailed attention paid in this process. There are a a variety of approaches, but they generally include, prayer, electing the call committee, establishing what type of Pastor would be suitable, reviewing the candidates and then calling the Pastor. If only we would pay that much attention to the call of God in our own lives. Could we establish our own call committee in the area of invitation. A group of people who help us identify the call of God in the area of our personal daily mission. I have a number of wise mature people who can speak into my life and have permission to challenge and confirm. Ask God today who to invite to take a closer look at Christ and his church and confirm the call of God with your call committee, who will pray for you and support you.
