The Bridge
Last night my first real sight of St John New Brunswick was going across the harbour bridge. That bridge reminded me of the incredible importance of building a bridge between the Christian faith and the modern world in which we are called to live. There is a vast chasm between the two. You need to build really deep foundations on both sides. We need to get beyond a noddy level Christianity, but at the same time, we need to listen and understand what God might be doing in the modern world. One component of that bridge we could call invitation. Invitation to listen, invitation to understand. Just as the Father sent me so I send you. Invite someone today to take a closer look at Christ and his Church.
