Grace

Yesterday I visited for the first time Prince Edward Island where the best selling novel Anne of Green Gables was set. It is a story of invitation, of Anne an orphan finding grace hope and transformation with two elderly siblings. As I journeyed with my friend Greg Jones we talked about hope and reminded ourselves of the verse “Where two or three are gathered in my name, there I will be in the midst.” Jesus didn’t say where two or three are gathered in my name doing an act of worship ‘really well’, there I will be in the midst. It does not rely on our competence, Jesus promised his presence in the midst of two or three gathered in his name. There are many spiritual orphans in today’s world, invite one to take a closer look at Christ and his church and maybe they will also find grace hope and transformation through a relationship with their heavenly Father.
