Encountering God
Moses is full of fear at the burning bush. He starts backing away from God. But he finds that there is no where he can run to, as God declares his name I am the God who is always present. Fear recognises implicitly that there is another and that I am dependent. God says over and over again, don’t be afraid for I am with you. When you encounter God and pause there is the beginning of a movement from fear to faith. Invite someone to take a closer look at Christ and his church.
