Winter training
There is a saying in athletics that champions are made in the off season. Athletes have to train in the winter to condition themselves. For runners, they need fitness and speed endurance. If you don’t do the winter training, it shows up with poor results in the summer championships, but equally is the case that if you have a good winter’s training, then you are able to compete well for the medals. Athletes have to have delayed gratification to endure the hardship of training. God also seasons the Christian. Be grateful for the winters of life, they are honing you to become who you are meant to be. Invite someone today to take a closer look at Christ and his church to find the God who seasons us.
