Flexibility and Resilience
An old Quaker saying is “In the face of strong winds, let me be a blade of grass. In the face of strong walls, let me be a gale of wind.” It reminds me of the Serenity Prayer and the opening lines which say God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference. Invite someone to take a closer look at Christ and his church and whatever the result remain flexible and resilient.
