Fear stops life
It is an obvious conclusion from travelling across western Christianity to me that fear is stopping us living the life God is calling us to live. We have exchanged the fear of God for the fear of man. We are more fearful about what our friends might think of us than we are about what God is asking us to do. In the Apostle Peter’s first letter he says “Who is going to harm you if you are eager to do good? But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed. ‘Do not fear their threats; do not be frightened.’ It is an on-going theme of the bible and an ongoing theme of life. Therefore don’t be afraid and invite someone today to take a closer look at Christ and his church.
