Trip Cancelled
The exodus story of the children of israel is instructive. God releases them from slavery and takes them on a journey to freedom which would lead them to the edge of the promised land. Unfortunately they whinged and complained, showed a complete lack of trust in God. Until God finally had enough and said ‘trip cancelled!’ They never made it to freedom. As I work with churches in western Christianity at times I feel as if we too are wandering in a wilderness still bound up with fears and lack of trust in God. In becoming invitational it reveals the fears that keep us enslaved. So do yourself a favour and invite someone today to take a closer look at Christ and his church and in the process may you sense the fear that binds you, so that you can address the bondage with God.
