Mystery
A mystery is something that is not fully understood or that baffles or eludes the understanding. In invitational mission we know that not everyone will respond positively to our invitation to take a look at Christ, but we know all things work together for good. On the surface it is very confusing. There can be a lot of seeming disappointment. In the story of the sower going out to sow the seed, some of the seed falls on the path, but the sower does not give up, and continues. But sometimes we miss in the story that the birds came and ate the seed. There was some benefit to the birds, but it is still a mystery! Don’t be afraid of mystery and invite someone to take a closer look at Christ and his church.
