Cautious Christianity
One of the deeper reasons we don’t invite is the perceived need to be cautious. In many places in the world Christians might be persecuted but in Western Countries the persecution comes in the subtle form of what you are allowed to say to a colleague in your place of work. Fear of losing one’s job, is at the back of one’s mind. Fear that it is going to affect your career prospects. Fear that it might affect negatively a relationship you have building for a while. Fear that you might not have the right timing. There are so many different fear thoughts which might hold us back. Take captive every thought and make it obedient to Christ be cautiously optimistic that God will be in the whole thing and invite someone to take a closer look at Christ and his church.
