Failing well in mission

Failing well is one of the Christian life’s most crucial skills, but it’s rarely taught well. Success and failure are not polar opposites: you often need to endure the second to enjoy the first. Failure can indeed be a better teacher than success. It can also be a sign of creativity. The best way to avoid short-term failure is to keep churning out the same old things.  The Psalms give us a clue on how to fail well. Psalm 73:25-26 25 Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. One of the things failure teaches us is dependence on God. Lean on God and invite someone to take a closer look at Christ and his church.
