Not perfect enough to invite?
One barrier for not inviting is the thought that if I invite my friend to church they will see that my life does not match up to my profession of faith. This is a very interesting barrier to overcome. But which one of us can truly say that we have reached a point in our walk with God that we will never ever have problems in this area? if we need to be perfect in walk with Christ before we invite then we might as well give up now. The bible in littered with stories of people like us who failed, stumbled, committed terrible crimes, (Simon Peter, Thomas, David, Abraham, Saul of Tarsus to name a few) and yet God still used them. Invite someone today to take a closer look at Christ and his church and know that our wonderful Saviour uses the likes of you and me!
