No hesitation
In Genesis 12 it says “So Abram went, as the Lord had told him”. Abraham was called, and he obeyed. There is no hint of hesitation, talking about it, ruminating, or delay; when he was called to go out, he went out. “Many are called, but few are chosen.” Jesus is basically saying, “I called and you refused.” Such calls come again and again to many, but we turn a deaf ear to them; we can be hearers only, and not doers of the word. Hear the call of God today in the area of invitation and then go and invite someone to take a closer look at Christ and his church.
