Invitation combats a declining faith
Jesus in the parable of the talents seems to suggest that whatever you don’t use you lose. Therefore we might conclude that lack of use causes loss, and we might then say, faith unused declines. Invitation is a helpful tool to prevent giving up the gift of faith. In invitation you just have to use your faith to combat what other people might think of you. This is a battleground area for the Christian, in fact we can easily become a mirror reflecting what everyone expects of us.” “They might think this and that”….
