Invitational taste testing
I was told today that the mission strategy of some Anglican churches has been as follows “everybody of good taste will eventually become an Anglican!” Whilst a bit of a joke, it has also been semi-serious as well. Therefore little or no effort has been made to welcome or invite people. Anglicans are not alone in thinking that their brand of Christian worship should be enough for people to walk in on their own and give up their Sunday mornings for a church service. The real taste test is that at the heart of Christianity is that we can taste and see that the LORD is good. Invite someone today to take a closer look at Christ and his church and take the real taste test!
