One of the things that stops mission today is that we don’t like doing routine things, we are into the novelty factor. There can be tension if we are asked to do the same thing over and over again. We love the new initiative, the exciting programme which is sweeping the world. Routine is not a good word. But routine is described in the dictionary as a prescribed, detailed course of action to be followed regularly. Go and make disciples could be described as a prescribed detailed course of action to be followed regularly. So invite someone today to take a closer look at Christ and his church and you will be following a routine set in motion two thousand years ago.
