Invitation has been shrinkwrapped
As I travel the world I have come to the conclusion that we tend to make God in our own image. We have a tendency to shrink wrap God down to the size of our personal frailties and limitations. Thus God confirms us in our limitations, in our self-imposed comfort zones. God is inviting our generation and has invited us to take part in the mission and invitation has always been at the heart of that mission. Up to 95% of us congregational members don’t invite to anything. We have decided for the most part to shrink wrap evangelism, mission and reaching out, as if we are protecting it. Cut through the shrink wrap that we have around mission and invite someone today to take a closer look at Christ and his church.
