Invitational Peer Pressure

Nicodemus visited Jesus at night for fear of what his peers would do if they found out. He was not alone in John 12:42 many Phariseees believed. They chose security over Jesus. A classic story of parents succumbing to peer pressure appears in John 9:18-22.  Even after after their son is healed of blindness they refused to be grateful to Jesus and put the blame on their son for the healing, utter peer pressure! It could never happen today could it? “I might be seen as someone pushing my faith, or judging others”. These are a couple of the countless fear of man/peer pressure examples stopping invitation. Don’t succumb to peer pressure but invite someone to take a closer look at Christ and His church.
