Delegated Authority in Invitation
Jesus has given us delegated to authority to go and make disciples. In fact Jesus says “all authority in heaven and on earth was given to him go therefore and make disciples.” Jesus passed the baton to us. The fascinating thing as I travel around the world looking at the church is that we have delegated that authority back to God! We expect God to do all aspects of mission, so we implore God through prayer, we long for God to move in our generation. It seems we have conveniently forgotten that Jesus delegated the task to us. It’s like a form of amnesia. Invite someone today to take a closer look at Christ and his church.
