Give an invite as a gift

At every seminar I hear one of the audience tell me that they are not going to be doing any inviting because they want to be sure that they will get a positive reaction from their friend. As they don’t expect a positive reaction, they therefore don’t invite. This attitude is about getting something back for ourselves as we offer an invitation. If all of our “giving” is about “getting,” what does that say about us? When we give an invitation from a place of love, rather than from a place of expectation, they feel our love rather than our own neediness. Invite someone today from a place of love to take a closer look at Christ and His church.
