The worst invitation ever, was the best
The worst invitation I have ever heard of is, “you follow me”. Terrible isn’t it. You wouldn’t get very far if you said that to someone. But wait a minute, that invitation was offered by Jesus! The difference was that it was Jesus’ it wasn’t what he said’ it was who he was. Jesus was attractive. We need to work on becoming a magnetic person so that people say “Who you are speaks so loud I can’t hear what you are saying.” Work on who you are becoming in Christ . When friends and relatives see an improved you, they will want to know how you changed, and maybe you will be able to say “you follow me”.
