Understanding our enemy
The biggest obstacle in mission is fear. The fear of looking bad fear, of letting other people down, the fear of looking foolish. However we exhibit our fear by becoming distracted. We will do anything other than invite, even to the extent of reading books about it, hearing sermons about it, going to seminars about it. In psychology this is called avoidance behaviour. Basically we are avoiding our fear. In order to tackle this paralysis we just need to become consciously aware that fear is the only obstacle between us and Mission. The enemy of fear is action.
