Learning to invite is a bit like learning to drive a car. To become a good driver, you need to learn how to drive and then practice. Driving instructor’s sometimes encourage their learner drivers to go on an intensive 1 week course, where they just drive every day throughout the week. This is because having a lesson once every couple of weeks, sometimes isn’t enough to embed the skills required. But by the end of an intensive week, they have vastly improved their skills. Serial Inviters invite regularly and get really good, really fast, because of the repetition in inviting. This has a compounding effect of increasing the skill of inviting. Inviting once in a while does not really build the skill. So invite regularly.
