Second Nature
Inviting people to take a closer look at Jesus Christ should be second nature to those of us who have been Christians for a while. Unfortunately it is our first nature, or should we say our original nature that can dominate. In writing to the church at Rome, Paul says “For we know that the Law is spiritual, but I am of flesh, sold into bondage to sin. For what I am doing, I do not understand; for I am not practicing what I would like to do, but I am doing the very thing I hate.” In his letter to the church at Corinth, Paul gives hope for all of us who are struggling “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” Ask for God’s help and invite someone today to take a closer look at Christ (who creates all things new) and his church.
