Playing not to lose

There is a difference between playing not to lose and playing to win. ‘Oh I hope I don’t lose, I hope I can pay the bills this month’, versus playing to win. Imagine a football match and the team are playing not to lose, they are playing
tentatively. The commentators call this playing with fear, playing to win means you are going for it, you are giving your all, this is called playing without fear. In invitation very often we don’t make the invite because we are afraid of losing and by not making the invite we in fact do lose. Invite someone to take a closer look at Christ and his church.
