Vocation

In Thomas Merton’s book book ‘No man is an island’, the opening paragraph says ‘why do we spend our lives striving to be something that we would never want to be, if only we knew what we wanted, why do waste our times doing things which if we only stopped to think about them were just the opposite of what we were made for?’ What would you want to do if you could do anything you could, is a clarifying question. Jesus asked that question in his ministry by saying what do you want? The most fundamental vocation is to be come the person God created what find that out through our desires, what moves us what touches us. What are we drawn to be, a vocation is your deepest identity, your deepest desires, are God’s desires for you. Invite someone to take a closer look at Christ and his church
