Holy Listening
Invitation includes holy listening. When we invite someone to take a closer look at Christ and his church, very often we will hear them say no, if we can it would be good to ask them why? We can then engage in holy listening. Very often in God conversations we are listening to respond to give our side of the story. But holy listening is listening to hear what God is already doing in their lives. One person said well I am afraid that my question might be seen as prying. Fear of offending or prying will keep us away from listening for the still small voice of God. Invite someone into a holy conversation so that they might take a closer look at Christ and his church.
