Turning Uncertainty to Wonder
Uncertainty Lack of information Loss of control appear to be the three main causes of fear in our society. In this age with information right at our finger tips it is easy to be uncomfortable with not knowing something. We have less and less tolerance for the sensation of not knowing we have less patience for the blank canvass, we confuse the sensation of wonder for the sensation of frustration and so we cheat ourselves out of the growth and creativity that comes with stretching the wonder. We plan and control as many thing as we can and then we complain about the rising level of anxiety. If we let the surprise in, amazing things can happen. Invite someone to take a closer look at the mystery of Christ and his church.
