Realisation

Realising that you are the problem in the area of mission and life is a massive moment. It is a paradigm shift, from pointing the fingers at others rather than looking within. Think of the Prodigal son when he “came to his senses” or Saul on the road to Damascus who are gradually or suddenly confronted with the realisation that the problem they are trying to solve lies closer at home. When you are fearful and you have a small decision space and rather than react by taking a bold step of faith, we react with fear. But when you realise that you are the problem we can start the process of tiny increments of improvement known as the process of sanctification or maturation into the person God intended.
