Hypothetical Fears
Fears are generally highly conjectural; not well supported by available evidence, they are hypothetical. This might happen or that may occur. We human beings at times want certainty before we make a decision and become paralysed with indecision. We can at times live a hypothetical life, not wanting to move from where we are to where we need to be. In invitation we do the hypothetical thinking for our friends, imagining how they might not like being invited to church, or how it may affect or change our friendship for the worse. Face your fears and test your hypothesis today and invite someone to take a closer look at Christ and his church.
