To see or not to see that is the question!
And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you, but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul,
The Hebrew word yirah translated to fear in the verse above means both “to fear” and “to see.” The essential choice of life is to open our eyes to available opportunities, and to fear the consequences of avoiding that reality. “To see or not to see?” – that is the question. Who do you see in your minds eye and perhaps fear inviting to take a closer look at Christ and his church?
