Opportunity Cost
Opportunity cost is the he cost of an alternative that must be forgone in order to pursue a certain action. Put another way, the benefits you could have received by taking an alternative action. Church leaders often ask me the following question, “does it work?” Church leaders are busy, they have set routines, they have to work out, what must go, in order for a real emphasis on becoming an invitational church. I can understand why I am unable to convince church leaders at times, as becoming an invitational church means facing one’s fears. But the benefits to the inviter, and the invited are immense. We have the opportunity of connecting ourselves and others with Christ who wants to give us all abundant life. Invite someone today to take a closer look at Christ and his church.
