Necessary Suffering
We need to a have tolerance for contradiction. The Apostle Paul says I glory in suffering. What a ridiculous statement? How can that be? Well Paul had found that suffering produces something and that it is necessary. For he says that suffering produces perseverance, perseverance character and character hope! It is my view that the avoidance of suffering is driving all types of addiction in this world. So shouldn’t we be teaching about the need for suffering? I know on the one hand it sounds so wrong, but on the other it appears to be so right. Invite someone today to take a closer look at Christ and his church and help them to find hope through suffering.
